  • Irden (pronounced ‘ear-din’) is a Middle High German word that translates to “earthen” which means “made from the earth”.

Not only is this a homage to Sabrina’s Austrian heritage, it is also what jewelry at its core is made from: materials from the earth.

FAQs — Design Process

Let’s explain how we create.

  • Set up an initial consultation using our online booking. We are happy to entertain initial design ideas via email as well, in order to determine if a design consultation is needed.

For general inquiries or design-related inquiries feel free to email me directly at info@irdendesigns.com.

  • Absolutely! I work with many clients remotely and conduct meetings via phone, video, email, and text.

  • Most custom jewelry typically takes 4-6 weeks from initial design consultation to the final product, so clients should book at least 4 weeks before they need a finished piece. I do my very best to meet client’s deadlines.

Some Custom items can be done more quickly. Contact us for an estimate.

  • All of our jewelry is handcrafted with the utmost attention for craftsmanship and quality. From CAD renderings to wax models, all the way to the final product, Irden jewelry is handcrafted with quality to last a lifetime.

  • Irden Designs works with the following precious and semi-precious metals: 14k/18k white gold, 14k/18k yellow gold, 14k/18k rose gold, and platinum. Diamonds, precious, and semi-precious gemstones.

  • YES! We love repurposing and redesigning your family heirlooms. Making the old something new that you will love is one of the many things we love about being jewelers.

We are also happy to work with stones you have previously purchased with us or from other vendors.

  • Custom engagement rings crafted by us offer a myriad of possibilities and typically start at the $1,500 mark. Factors influencing the cost include gemstone preferences like type, carat weight, cut, and clarity, as well as metal type, overall dimensions, design intricacy, and rarity of sourced gemstones. With access to some of the world’s finest gemstones and diamonds, the options for custom jewelry are boundless.

  • Irden Design typically has two approaches to crafting: we design around what the client loves or around their budget.

We take pride in assisting our clients by suggesting design concepts and selecting metals, gemstones, and diamonds that not only match their financial requirements but also offer outstanding value, both in terms of aesthetics and quality.

Designing based on what you love means there's no fixed budget; instead, we establish a budget range that aligns with the desired overall look and materials.

Either way, setting design parameters is an integral part of our initial design consultation conversation

  • Payments for custom jewelry are divided into three installments. There is an initial deposit of $500 to create a design with a CAD rendering. Once a design has been chosen and priced I require 50% to begin production. The balance will be paid upon delivery.

Some stones will need to be purchased along with the initial $500 deposit in order to secure them from our vendors. If this is the case, we will let you know.

FAQs — Jewelry Care

Taking care of your investment.

  • For most gold and platinum jewelry, we recommend using gentle dish soap and a soft toothbrush. Soak your piece in the water and then gently brush with the toothbrush to get rid of dirt build-up.

You should not do this with some gemstones, such as pearl, opal, and other organic materials. Ask us to confirm if this cleaning method is right for you.

We also recommend our Bling Brush! These work great on the go on your diamonds and sapphires to get them sparkling in no time!

  • Just like a car, jewelry needs to be maintained. We recommend having your jewelry checked and cleaned every 6 months to a year by a professional jeweler.

At this time they can check the stones, prongs, and clasps and recommend any repairs or note any damage. At this time they will also clean it, polish it and redo any finishes. Leaving your jewelry looking as good as the day you bought it.

  • Jewelry while made to last, does still need care and attention, it can bend, break, and get damaged no matter the material or stones.

Because of this, we recommend taking your jewelry off when you are cleaning, gardening, working out, hiking etc. Not only to protect your jewelry but to protect you as well.

Taking off your jewelry before, showering, washing hands, and putting on lotions and perfumes will keep film and build up off your jewelry and keep it looking clean and sparkly longer.

Ask us about the care of specific stones.
